Charlotte Ridgway

Researcher

Charlotte works freelance in research, nutrition and science communication, having given up her full-time role in science communication to have more time for her family.

She holds a MSc (Dist) in Human Nutrition and completed a MPhil in Epidemiology as part of her PhD at the University of Cambridge. Her PhD and Career Development Fellowship research focused on the influence of early life factors, such as birth weight, on later physical activity, fitness and metabolic risk, which resulted in several peer review papers.

Prior to returning to academic study Charlotte spent almost ten years in sales and marketing, working as a nutritionist and products manager within the commercial sector.
