Optimum Patient Care is a social enterprise working with the UK healthcare system. We offer a range of services to GP surgeries including a Clinical Review Service and research support. As a result of our comprehensive work with GP surgeries, we can deliver Primary Care research support and bespoke data sets for academic research, from IG-Compliant data extractions, which forms one of the largest respiratory databases in the world.

As part of our service team your main role will be liaising with GP practices and supporting the use of our bespoke software around the UK. You will play a vital role in providing support to our teams, as well as our clients and the services we provide.

Primary job functions

  • Facilitate recruitment of GP practices for OPC services and where applicable, support practices interested in undertaking research to be recruited into research studies
  • Support the OPC service team to maximise communication with practices
  • Producing practice reports for delivery to GP practices
  • Maintaining a database of all practice contacts and services provided
  • Updating all essential records relating to project delivery
  • Attending practices to extract anonymous data using our in house software
  • Visiting practices to provide training on OPC tools, our own reporting software
  • Working with third party suppliers to support service delivery
  • Support general practices upon request with patient recruitment for service delivery or implementation of research activities in accordance with NHS information governance and UK Data Protection Act
  • To work alongside the field/office based teams providing project support.

Core competencies

  • Strong communication skills – Communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
  • Capable of working both independently and as part of a team willing to help others, follow directions and share ideas
  • Competent with a range of Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel and Power-point
  • Must be organised, pro-active, diligent and focused

Applicants must hold a full UK drivers licence and be willing to travel throughout the UK, including some overnight stays.
